You can filter attractions by your personal interests, and you can read historic background information, get practical information such as how to find a doctor if you need one, and read all about different neighborhoods and popular attractions. This app from Lonely Planet has all the same great features as the Berlin Travel Guide, but for the beautiful and historic city of Munich. If you’re traveling to Munich, this app will help you locate all the best places of interest and let you find your way around with ease. It also costs $5.99.

This app is another great tool for your visit to the city of Berlin. It works completely offline, and it contains thousands of attraction reviews by other travelers and suggestions on places for you to visit. The maps feature will show you the best way to get to your destination, and the augmented reality feature will track the places you visit in real time. This offline app is a great way to augment your historic tour of Germany. It provides beautiful photographs and compelling audio narration for 13 different attractions and locations around Germany, including the Höchster Schlossplatz castle, Main Market Square, and the Dome St. Peter. If you activate the GPS feature, it will automatically inform you on the history of your current location.
