The Bremerhaven situated in the Bremen, a federal state of Germany. It is located on the eastern bank of the River Weser. Bremerhaven is the port city, economically an important city with its large capacity of cargo handling, ranked as world’s 16th largest container port and in Europe it is recognized as the 4th largest port. The city is renowned for its thriving maritime industry, and has the large facility for renovating and building larger cruise liners. The Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Bremerhaven) is the famous university of the region established in 1975 and another renowned institute for maritime research is the Alfred Wegener Institute.

Bremerhaven is relatively new city, there are few historical buildings located in the city. The tallest architecture of the city Radarturm, a symbolic Radar Tower with its 107 meters height and 33 meters tall antenna helps in forecasting weather for safe shipping. You have the opportunity to climb up to 60 meters high viewing platform and can have the panoramic view of the harbor and surrounding city.

The Deutsches Schiffahrtsmuseum (German Navigation Museum) located on the fishing port. The museum is a wonderful attraction for visitors covering the German Maritime history from primitive to the present date. This is also exhibiting the historical ships and vessels; the most attractive ship on display is the Hansekogge dating back to the 1380, with other historical ships on exhibition. Furthermore, the German Emigration Center (Deutsches Auswandererhaus) in Bremerhaven is a museum covering the emigration process and history of immigration.

The Fischereihafen or Fishing Port located in Geestmund, housing the History Museum covering the history of fishing industry, shipbuilding and harbor work in Bremerhaven. The art lovers can find the enchanted Art Gallery in the Bremerhaven with the name of Kunsthalle, established in 1886 and famous in the city and surroundings for providing the space for exhibition to talented new artists for their new art work. The gallery also exhibits the archives, paintings and contemporary art.

Bremerhaven housing a wonderful Zoo, it is the captivating tourist’s spot in the city. The zoo temporarily shut down by the municipality, refurbished and reopened in 2004. The zoo is famous for its range of animals from terrestrial to marine life. It has the enormous aquarium rendering the Sea life.
