The renowned city for its wine industry, Heilbronn situated in North Baden Wurttemberg, Germany on the Neckar River. The major economic center of
the region with its 0.12 million inhabitants, it is the sixth biggest of the state, and the canal port on the Neckar is one of the largest among the ten large interior ports of the Germany. The old city with findings estimates its origin dating back around 30,000 BC (Old Stone Age). The city is famous for its wine and salt mine trade. Home to the FC Heilbronn soccer club and other famous sport of the city is the tennis, and every year, The ‘Heilbronn Open’, a tennis tournament held in the city. The city’s famous academic institute is the Heilbronn University that ranks the major in the state of Baden Wurttemberg.

There are number of museums in the city that exhibits the archeological findings, artifacts, chronicles and remnants that depict the history of the city. The most popular are the Museum of Archeology and Natural History.

The Theaterschiff Heilbronn and Stadttheater Heilbronn are the renowned entertaining sights for visitors in the city. The calendar year is laden with myriad of cultural festivals and events. The Geffenberg Festival and Unterlander Volksfest starts from July to August every year, the largest event of all to celebrate in the city.
