Placed on the bank of the River Isar, it is a city in Bavaria in the southeast of Germany. With a population of 60,000, it is the largest city in Lower Bavaria as well as Eastern Bavaria’s second biggest city after Regensburg. Due to its typical coat of arms, it also called “Three Helmets City”. However, the tour of the city is a worthy day-trip destination, ranking among Bavaria’s most impressive destinations. The city established in 1204, and in 1475, a great event of the wedding of Wittelsbach family member George of Bavaria held here, and every four years this event recreated in the city. It was one of the largest historical parades in Europe. The Christmas Market is particularly romantic and considered one of the Bavaria’s most beautiful spot.

It is also a popular destination for cyclists, as it has a gentle 5-7 hour cycle ride from Munich. Landshut’s historical significance reflected in the grandeur of its Old Town. The city is of national magnitude because of its primarily Gothic Architecture, particularly Trausnitz Castle and the Church of Saint Martin, which has the tower of the world’s tallest brick arrangement. Among other prominent architecture are the churches of St. Jodok and Holy Spirit, but also the Town Hall and the Landtor, the only existing gate of the medieval fortification. Burg Trausnitz is an intresting castle high above the city of Landshut, The oldest parts of the sactle date back to the year 1204, and an amazing place to visit.

According to the examples of the palaces in Northern Italy, Ludwig X had built in 1536-1534. The archetypal tranquility of the building and the edifice of the fronts leading to the inner yard, archways, marvelous banqueting hall, the aisles, representing in stucco and paint themes of Greek and Roman Art and Science.
Boroque churches are also worth to see here, as St. Ignatius Church, St, Blasius and the St. Joseph church. In addition, the medieval churches of the Seligenthal Monastery and of the Cistercians reconstruct in baroque style. Many old buildings in the Old Town still represent the history of the city from the Gothic times to the Neo-Classicism.

Stadttheater, Nikola and Kleines Theaters are very famous among visitors. Other magnificent visiting places are Kinopolis Landshut, Burgtheater, Kinoptikum Cinemas, and the Sculptural Museum in Hofberg.
