Luneburg is the most important city of German state Lower Saxony, and it was previously known as “Lunenburg”. Having a populace about 0.1 million, it is part of
the Hamburg urban Region. It is the 120th largest city in the Federal Republic of Germany. In last few years, Luneburg has increasingly developed into a venue for tourists from all over the world. Nevertheless, major and small business plays a major role in the economy of the city. The fashion company “Roy Robson”, “De Vau Ge Gesundkostwerk” one of the largest German manufactures of vegetarian food and the dairy, car interior manufacturers are major industries here. Luneburg has the second most bars per mile and per resident in Europe. The city has a very famous and active Graffiti scene and a home to many Graffiti Halls of Fame. Luneburg has major tourist attractions and sightseeing, some of these are:
Soltau and Heide Park: It is the largest theme park in Germany, located in Lower Saxony. As well as its freefall tower, named “Scream” is the tallest of its kind. A marvelous roller coaster placed in this park. Children as young can enjoy the white-water ride. A statue of Liberty is also a main feature of this park, which built to scale at about a third of the height of the New York original statue.
The German Tank Museum: It is a joint establishment of the town of Munster and the Federal Armed Forces of Germany. This museum shows the development of the German forces and the reconnaissance forces including the historical background covering the period from 1917 until today. This museum features both technical and military history, and draws over 70,000 visitors a year.
Water Tower: Built by Franz Krurger in 1906, it construct from remnants of the old town. It operated as a water tower until 1985, and soon designated a historic monument. Today visitors can ascend and enjoy wonderful panoramic views over the city from the observation platform at the top.
Munster: It is the most important town in the city, and the most eminent garrison of the German Federal Armed Forces. It has spacious parks, recreation areas, and various landscapes of forests. This town and its surroundings are especially interesting for visitors on short trips, and it is a paradise for cyclers, hikers, anglers, and riders. It is a very nice town with friendly locals.
