Regensburg is situated in the Bavarian state, Germany, lies on the convergence of the River Danube and Regen River. Economically it is an important city of Bavarian state with its flourishing automobile and High-tech Biotech industry. It is home to the famous outstanding academia, the University of Regensburg. One of the architectural masterpieces of the city is the towering Gothic Dom (Cathedral) of St. Peter, its foundation completed in 1869, contains monument specifically the monument of Peter Vischer’s example of arts work. Accompany the adjoining monastery built in 8th century. Now transformed to a Cathedral Museum (Domschatzmuseum) exhibiting the large collection of religious artifacts. The Steinerne Bridge (Brucke) is the old bridge built in 1146 on the River Danube, a marvelous medieval architecture with 1,000 ft length. The St. Jakob Schottenkirche is an ancient church in Regensburg built in 1180, fascinated with a sculptures and statues. There were around 60 towers in the city, but only 20 are in there original form, the symbolic and most attractive towers remained in the Regensburg, the Baumburger Turm, a residential tower built in around 1270. It is in the list of UNESCO world heritage. The Bruckturm is the giant tower on Steinerne Bridge which leads the entrance to the Altstadt (Old Town). The tallest tower in the Regensburg is the Goldener Turm built in around 1260, with its 50 meter height used as defensive purpose, now the tower became an apartment operated by the University.
The Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall) is the magnificent building with its 200 year old tower, located in the center of the town. The hall of the house serves as the Reichstasgmuseum, which present the chronicles reflects the history of Roman Empire. The Regensburg’s History Museum is exhibiting the archeological findings, remnants, artifacts which reveal the history of the city and the whole Bavaria region.

The University of Regensburg maintains the awesome Botanical Garden which is famous for its academic research as well as an immaculate sight for tourist. A wonderful experience of the Regensburg is its old aged Sausage Kitchen (Wurstkuchl), a taste dating back to 12th century, it’s pleasant to try luscious local specialties.
