Remscheid situated in North Rhine Westphalia (NRW), in Bergisches Land, Germany. It is located on Wupper River, in south of Ruhr area. With its
population around 0.11 million inhabitants makes it the third largest city in Bergisches Land. It was first founded in around 12th century as a small village but led to the economical growth with the trading boom of the Ruhr area in 19th century.
