In southern part of the Ruhr area and birthplace of traditional mining in Ruhr ‘Witten’ is situated in the North Rhine Westphalia (NRW), Germany. A multicultural city with diverse ethnic groups resided in the city, formerly there was large Jewish community and  they built  ‘Kristallnacht’  the synagogue which later destroyed and now the place is a cenotaph  for holocaust vitims. A large Muslim community have four mosque in the city, most of them migrated from Turkey. Rest of the community practices Christianity around 70 percent comprising of Roman Catholic and Prostestant.

The ‘Rathaus’ (Town Hall) building in the city, it is an architectural masterpiece and serve as the administrative center for the city. The ‘Helenenturm’ (Helen Tower) is a symbolic tallest tower in Witten; you can climb up the tower and catch up the picturesque beauty of town.

The ‘Nachtigall Colliery’ a magnificent 130 meter long gallery reveals the tremendous industrial heritage, held in fantastic museum and historical railways.
