German Cities to Visit

In Germany there are many cities that deserve special consideration because of what they have to offer. Be it because of its history, or its cultural legacy, or its architecture of simply because of its unique charm, there are some cities that you just can’t afford not to visit.

If you decided to visit Germany during your vacations, you should start by its capital Berlin. It is a cosmopolitan, multicultural, vibrant and diverse city. Above all, do not forget to visit the Brandenburg Arch which symbolizes the unity of the German nation.

Hamburg city is considered as the most beautiful city of the North of Germany, also the city has one of the most active ports of Europe. The importance of its port is so great that it is celebrated in a local festival each year.

Very close to Hamburg is Bremen, a little and idyllic city that will seem to you the scenery from one of the Grimm’s brothers story (The musicians of Bremen). The Schnoor neighborhood, the old part of Bremen, is still conserved and maintains its original medieval looks. If you like theater, there is a boat that will offer you a unique experience, the Theaterchiff (literally the Theater Boat).

Cologne can offer you its Carnival, the good humor of its inhabitants and its magnificent cathedral.

A little more on the South is Koblenz, a city situated in gorgeous scenery. On this location, known as “the corner of Germany” (Das deutsche Eck), are the Rivers Mosel and Rhin. This city has 2 thousand years of History and the stones from its various castles, fortress and palaces can testify to that.
