The Small Group Photography Tour is just the opportunity for you to take a pace to pace tour that will allow you to get pictures for a life time of enjoyment. And to capture Berlin’s most symbolic places and buildings through your camera’s view.
Discover the historical attractions of Berlin and capture them on camera with the help of an experienced and world-class photographer. This specially designed photography tour will help you:
• Discover and experience a city through the eyes of a local photographer.
• Learn to have a sharper observation of interesting details about a place and its people, which might easily be overlooked.
• To have a more interesting experience and involvement when visiting a city.
• Let each photograph speak its own story.
Your English-speaking photographer has an in-depth local knowledge, a passion for his city and for the art of photography.
Photographers are carefully selected for their breadth of style and experience in either travel or photo-documentary/reportage.
The tour starts from S-Bahn Station “Hackescher Market” at the flower shop.
This photography tour begins in the centre of Mitte, Berlin’s lively number one residential district with its old houses, streets and backyards. One of these, the Hackesche Höfe, was reconstructed and is now home to art galleries, restaurants, cinemas and manufactories where we you can watch and photograph craftsmen at work.
After a short walk and crossing the Spree-River we reach the Museumsinsel (Museum Island), where you can indulge in some architecture photography. Constructed under several Prussian Kings with internationally renowned museums, this monumental style is a real challenge for the photographer to capture on film.
Continue on a stroll along the river Spree and pass the old Schlossbrücke (Castle Bridge), the Staatsoper (Opera House), statue of Frederic The Great, Germany’s most famous king.
The tour ends at the oldest sites of historic Berlin: Nicolai Quarter, that showcases a medieval German town centre (church, tavern, houses), typically reconstructed during the East-German era in the 1970s.
Due to weather and light issues, the tour runs from April 1st to October 31st, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
So bring your camera and be prepared to walk, shoot and click away!
