Besides Beethoven Haus, Bonn also offers another interesting tourist attraction – Kreuzbergkirche or Cross Mountain Church located on Kreuzberg’s summit. The church serves both as a place of worship as well as education; German language and culture courses are taught at the church today.

The church is famous for its Heiliger Steige or Holy staircase. The church was built in the seventeenth century and the Heiliger Steige was donated to the Church by Elector Clemens August von Bavarian. It is believed that the holy staircase contains pieces of the original cross on which Jesus Christ was crucified. One can also get a great view of the church from the top of the Church.
